In cases of urgent need our doctors will provide you a prescription with no repeat for your regular medication only without a consultation. A small administration fee is charged for this service, for which there is no Medicare rebate. This service is only for our regular patients. We encourage you to come to see your GP at your earliest convenient time.

Referrals

Medicare does not allow backdated referrals. Referrals written without a consultation may incur a small administration fee. Otherwise we recommend that you please book for  an appointment with your regular doctor.

Medical Certificates

Medical Certificates are a legal document. It is illegal to back date medical certificates and they will only be issued for genuine medical conditions that require time off from work or study. To obtain a medical certificate you must have a consultation with a doctor.

A small fee may be charged for replacement medical certificates.

Recall/Reminder System

Our practice has a recall system for patients undergoing clinical investigations. We only call patients for life threatening abnormal results. We expect patients will make their follow up visits to discuss investigation reports.

A notice regarding clinical investigation displayed on practice notice board.

The practice also has a reminder system in place where letters will be sent to patients to remind them of pap smear due, review of care plans etc. with a request they ring the practice to make an appointment.
